QUALIFICATIONS: Taekwondo practitioner of all ages, sex and ranks, who have trained and understand the Taekwondo competition rules.
Team CUTA 2010: Black Belts, Ages 14-32 who capture 1st, 2nd & 3rd place from these State Championships, Northern &
Southern, and the USAT State Qualified championship on March 2010, will be qualified to compete at the
Team Fight-Off in April 2010 in Fresno CA. (4) Senior Males, (4) Senior Females, (5) Jr. Males and (5) Jr.
Females will be selected from the Team Fight-Off as members of Team CUTA 2010. These teams will be
competing at the International Taekwondo Festival in early June 2010, and for a trip to Korea in mid June
2010 for competition in the World Taekwondo Expo in the City of Muju Korea for one week. CUTA will pay for
most of the expenses which includes rooms, meals & tournament fees plus 50% of the airfare, athletes will
be responsible for paying for the remaining 50% of the airfare. Note: Athletes who are 13 years old in 2009
may participate in the 14-17yr old divisions for the 3 Championships described above will be qualified for the
Team Fight-Off in 2010.
Jr. Development Team: Red & Black Belts, Ages 12-13 who capture 1st, 2nd & 3rd place, will be qualified for the Team Fight-Off in
2010 for CUTA Jr. Development Team and will be training together with the 14-32 team members.

TKD Demonstration: Northern Region: Teams from three different universities in Korea will be performing a spectacular TKD
demonstration at the opening ceremony in UC Berkeley. 1) Korea National Sport University, 2) Keimyung
University, & 3) Kyunghe University.
Southern Region: Team M from San Jose California will be performing a spectacular TKD demonstration at
the opening ceremony in CSU Dominguez Hills.
COMPETITION FEES:
1) $75 for one event and $85 for two events for Current CUTA Members.
2) $85 for one event and $95 for two events for Non CUTA Members.
3) Deadline: Northern 7/31/09; Southern 11/27/09. $10 Late Fee will be charged after deadline.
4) Registration Cut-Off: Northern 8/6/09 Southern 12/3/09.
5) Fee must be made with Money Order or Cashier Check only. No Refund.

SPECTATOR FEES: $10 4 & under = Free
KYOROOGI COMPETITION: We are planning to allow black belts age 14 and above to compete first so that they may be free to coach
and to allow those who might otherwise have the chance to view the exciting black belt matches.
COMPETITION RULES: The current USAT & WTF competition rules will govern this championship.
WEIGH-IN: Weigh-In required for Black Belt age 14-32, Kyoroogi competitors only, on tournament day 8-8:45 AM
COACHING: Each Coach's Pass is $35 if purchased by mail and at the ticket booth. $30 if purchased online.
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT: WTF approved white v-neck uniform only (no color trim except on black belt v-neck). All Kyoroogi
competitors must wear (WTF approved): white, or red/blue to match huguo color headgear, red and blue
reversible chest protector, forearm pad, shin and instep pad, groin cup (males only) and mouthpiece. Each
competitor must provide his or her own equipment. Necessary equipment will be sold at the tournament site.
COMPETITOR AWARDS: All divisions will be maximum of 4 competitors with the exception of Black Belt ages 14 to 32.
Kyoroogi: There will be one 1st, one 2nd and two 3rd place winners.
Poomsae: There will be one 1st, one 2nd & two 3rd place winners.
SCHOOL AWARDS: Most Participants Award: 1st to 10th places trophies for the schools with the most participants.
